Data & Facts
Building the future
The new E.ON power plant at Gönyű, with a gross capacity of 433 MW, will be the most modern and efficient plant in Hungary. The exceptionally high net efficiency of 58 % will be achieved by a combined gas and steam turbine operation. The plant can supply energy for more than 600 000 households in a reliable and environmentally friendly way.
At the same time, E.ON is creating 30 new jobs, thereby boosting employment in the region. And E.ON plans to employ an additional 500 workers during the construction phase. These positive effects all add up to a brighter future for the people of Gönyű.
